It is illegal to publish content that may negatively influence readers
my target audience is mostly males with the addition of women aged 16-30 advertising fighting sports however mostly boxing
I will use language which doesn't encourage fighting in the wrong contexts however language which will educate the audience into the benefits of fighting sports and how to safely and correctly perform them.
Libel law - publishing false statements written about a person or brands reputation that is defamatory this is relevant to magazines because there could be false statements which could be libel
in my magazine I will make sure all my statements are factually correct from legitimate sources and fighting professionals.
Copyright - law that makes sure you gain permission to use or copy another's intellectual property I am going to take my own photos of boxing professionals (models) and sports gear, I have also created my own masthead (Ring Side). An existing brand that would fit with my magazine is (The Ring) & (Boxing) it is similar because they both focus on boxing and cover the latest boxing news and fights, they are similar magazines based of the codes and conventions of a traditional boxing magazine however do not break any of the copyright laws.
laws of contempt - it is illegal to report on a current legal case that is happening in your magazine only could say facts and also request the court proceedings can not give your own opinion can not post anything that is to sensualist about a criminal case ( glamorising criminal activities) this magazine will have a website so this is relevant to publishing online, speeding, dangers driving,

Ethical:

I don't think theres many ethical effects I need to consider other than one possible one which may be that since I'm filming in a few public spaces people may be uncomfortable being on camera. Although I won be focusing on anyone in the background it might capture them by accident. to minimise the chances of upsetting anyone I have ensured of proper permission to film in the locations and will ask verbal permission to anyone in the shot.

Risks:

Lights will be used on set in a few scenes like the interviews to gain better brightness and exposure, therefore I will have to make sure lights are set up at the correct distance and brightness in order to make sure its not a risk to anyone. people could become startled or even damage parts of there eyes if this is not done correctly, I will use a light diffuser in front of my main light to try help disperse light.
